Russia’s Uralkali swings to 2.271 bln rbl IFRS net loss in 2020

MOSCOW, Feb 26 (PRIME) -- Russian fertilizer producer Uralkali posted a 2.271 billion ruble net loss in 2020 against a 78.245 billion ruble net profit in 2019, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a report on Friday.

Revenue went up 8.3% on the year to 195.222 billion rubles in 2020. Gross profit fell by 2.1% to 134.310 billion rubles, and operating profit shrank by 21.7% to 63.770 billion rubles. Pretax profit plummeted by 98.3% to 1.621 billion rubles.

The company said that its production of potassium chloride increased by 2% to 11.3 million tonnes in 2020, while sales of potassium chloride grew 30% to 12.7 million tonnes.
